You may be wondering what on Earth "Social Network (Rihanna's Box)" is all about and how it could even logically make sense... Well, I'm not on bath salts! I promise. Also, No the song is not about having sexual fantasies of Rihanna. The "(Rihanna's Box)" part will be explained below...
It all started on a L.A.D.Y-ish night that ended with a lonely ride home on the train... Might've been around the time I released "Singing With A Ginyu Girl". Anywho, I was blessed enough to speak to an angel that night thanks to my intensive "social network"ing practice. My number one love, Hopie Spitshard was on the radio out in California so I decided to call in and I got a chance to talk to her.. You may remember this if you're a part of the imaginary cult that reads all of my blog posts.. Further, the day after I wrote 4 songs all about that night from the heartbreak session to hearing Hopie's voice.. "Social Network (Rihanna's Box)" was one of these songs. The "(Rihanna's Box)" part isn't about me lusting over the hottest chica in pop, it's about me wanting to be in a bigger space where more people are and have been ((Totally just called Rihanna a slut)) Sorry :-( I was voicing my displeasure with being Mouse Sucks at the moment. Everyone was downloading "Singing With A Ginyu Girl" and playing it on internet radio but I had a miserable night and I wasn't nearly where I wanted to be *scoots closer to Jay Z* ...
