Finally!!! The Brooklyn trio Capital Ode, Shawn K and Mouse Sucks have released their joint EP "Where's Jarett?"... It's supposedly an attempt to find their lost friend Jarett. Lord knows where he is and why he dresses like Waldo but hopefully they find him. If you were tuned in to earlier episodes of whatever show this is, then you've heard "No Love" and "Two Boob Theory" but the other tracks on the tape are definitely worth a listen as well. And there may or may not be a surprise or two in there somewhere... Check it out  :-)

The track's title is "Two Boob Theory"...... I was never taught this in school  :-(   Why don't these guys teach at my school? I'd take their class every semester!!! Talking about boobs is amazing and not only did they do a great job of making a boob song, they also covered lots of ground in other areas.... Holy moly! Mice People is back!!! Their 3rd album "My Lovely Classmates" just hit the net and as they promised, production from Sailor Moon and Mouse Sucks  :-o  .. ON EVERY SINGLE BEAT!! The basic concept of the album is reflecting on classmates that they had crushes on in school. It's a very revealing album and definitely a good listen.... lol. The last song "Thank God For Letting Me Sit Next To Ania" is truly a work of art as well as the intro "Bad Day At Bedford". 2012 was one quick year. Here we are once again on Charles Hamilton day! November 10th. I met Charles twice this year. Once when he was DJ'ing at Garfield's Lounge and again at his show at SOB's.. Pretty cool if you ask me but anyway.. Let's take today to honor the great musician and thank him for putting out tons of music for his fans and celebrate another year of the Hamiltonization Process. Mice People - "And Then They Played Sonic" (Album)

Mice People is back with their sophmore album on SoundCloud Records titled "And Then They Played Sonic". The title is paying respect to former Interscope artist Charles Hamilton who released a mixtape called "And Then They Played Dilla" which was paying respect to the late great J Dilla... A long series of paying respect lol. Mice People's debut album "Bent Out Of Shape" did a good job of introducing the band to the world and allowing them to establish themselves as this edgy but soulful collective. Although this album doesn't include the executive producing genius of Jay Z and 50 Cent like the debut, "And Then They Played Sonic" is just as edgy but alot more politically opinionated. On the song "Shame On Romney", Mice People bashes the Presidential Candidate and also on the song "Blu Cantrell", Mice People speaks on the situation of Jay Z's relationship with Blu Cantrell and naming his daughter with Beyonce after Blu.... Bold... A personal favorite on the album would have to be the song "Ill WIll". Mice People's ability to sneak songs like this onto edgy projects is just amazing. Mice People - "Bent Out Of Shape" (Album)

I'd feel foolish saying "Album of the year" for Mice People's debut album under Soundcloud Records but it's very impressive. The album is titled "Bent Out Of Shape" and was obviously written through some sort of depression or anger. Sources say that Jay Z and 50 Cent played the roles of executive producers on the album and we all know they have the ability to make a classic album. Mice People's style is similar to that of a early Mouse Sucks. It would be completely awesome for them to work on some music in the future. My favorite tracks on the album have to be "The Love Song To End All Love Songs" and "Franny's Onion Rings". This is a truly creative album and apparently Mice People's final album in their contract with Soundcloud Records. XXL Magazine posted an article saying they might sign with Roc Nation. Let's just wait and see where the talented free agents go from here.

You may be wondering what on Earth "Social Network (Rihanna's Box)" is all about and how it could even logically make sense... Well, I'm not on bath salts! I promise. Also, No the song is not about having sexual fantasies of Rihanna. The "(Rihanna's Box)" part will be explained below...
      It all started on a L.A.D.Y-ish night that ended with a lonely ride home on the train... Might've been around the time I released "Singing With A Ginyu Girl". Anywho, I was blessed enough to speak to an angel that night thanks to my intensive "social network"ing practice. My number one love, Hopie Spitshard was on the radio out in California so I decided to call in and I got a chance to talk to her.. You may remember this if you're a part of the imaginary cult that reads all of my blog posts.. Further, the day after I wrote 4 songs all about that night from the heartbreak session to hearing Hopie's voice.. "Social Network (Rihanna's Box)" was one of these songs. The "(Rihanna's Box)" part isn't about me lusting over the hottest chica in pop, it's about me wanting to be in a bigger space where more people are and have been ((Totally just called Rihanna a slut)) Sorry  :-(   I was voicing my displeasure with being Mouse Sucks at the moment. Everyone was downloading "Singing With A Ginyu Girl" and playing it on internet radio but I had a miserable night and I wasn't nearly where I wanted to be *scoots closer to Jay Z* ... Lupe Fiasco delivers yet another great video for his controversial song "B*tch Bad" from Food & Liquor 2 . (Black face included) At this point I'm just wishing Lupe would say forget the other singles and release the album on iTunes tonight. I'm ready to purchase already. This is gonna be yet another dope album for Lupe but I have a feeling this is going to pack a bigger political punch than Lupe's done in the past. Hopefully he doesn't get banned from stores and make us have to schedule riots all over the world... Today was a really dope day. Got to sleep in my film class, found my old The Hundreds sneakers and wore them for the 1st time in like a jillion months, got 7 dislikes on Youtube, Charles Hamilton sonned J. Cole once again but this time on MTV and... Oh yea! I went to The Charles Hamilton Experience at SOB's!!
 It was pretty amazing. In the span of about 20 minutes, he made 3 beats infront of us, lit a cigar, memorized verses for 2 songs and began to record them... Charles Hamilton is on some next level chizz. By far the best musical performance i've ever seen. And he's insane on the piano... Much footage to come  :-)  Stay tuned

This has to be like the greatest week in music. EVER!. And it's only Monday. Yesterday KiD CuDi dropped a fresh jam from Indicud titled "Just What I Am" and now Lupe Fiasco releases his 3rd single from Food & Liquor 2 : The Great American Rap Album. The track is called "Lamborghini Angels" .... not to be confused with the song "Mercy" which goes "Lamborghini Mercy" by Kanye West and his G.O.O.D music team. Hopefully there's no beef between the two members of CRS. But anyway, the new single from Lupe is kinda reminicent of the Chicago legend on his sophmore album "The Cool". I may need to listen to it a few more times to catch onto any hidden messages but I'm totally digging the new track.

We all know about Kobe saying this group is better than The Dream Team and you know what.... I totally agree. Don't get me wrong, if the two teams were to play it would be a great game but i'd have my imaginary money on this 2012 group. Kevin Durant had 30 points to lift Team USA over Spain. The only sour thing about this whole trip to London is that Andre Iguodala is leaving the Sixers which ultimately means..... I'm a Denver Nuggets fan now  :-)   Gonna be a dope season. Iggy for MVP

I already got my ticket for The Charles Hamilton Experience at SOB's on Tuesday but apparently he released an album titled "August 14th Doom Thousand and Twelve" which I'm about to download after I blog this... I was just sitting here with Sailor Moon and Polliana when I stumbled upon this video by Wolph Creations promoting the show. The video is pretty cool and the music in the background is amazing. Here's a story about my 1st crush in America....

Her name started with a D... She was actually really cool and chizz but I was awkward (having just moved from Canada) and obviously not what she was looking for. Not really sure what a 3rd grader would be looking for but it surely wasn't me. At first I was really scared to talk to her since she was waaaaay out of my league but towards the end of the year (after I graduated from spending days with the school nurse) I had a full conversation with her. Usually I just shared my cinnamon rolls with her... Anyway.. One day I got the bright idea to bring her flowers (I was a weird little Canadian boy  who wore short shorts and church shoes).. Well.. She didn't come to school that day and I forgot the flowers so I figured I'd leave them there and give them to her the next day  :(   When I went back to school the flowers were trashed and so was my heart. I cried pretty bad and spent yet another day with the school nurse. We kept our casual cinnamon roll sharing lunch habits but I never had the courage to tell her how I felt... On the last day of school she asked for my number but.... She never called  </3

It was truly my introduction to heartbreak. I didn't even have a MySpace to stalk her  *Sheds tears*.. I guess that just set the tone for my great life with the women today  :D  ..... *sarcasm*..

There's been a little bit of talk about the 1st single from L.A.D.Y... If you don't know, L.A.D.Y is Mouse Sucks' 2nd studio project that will follow up The Ginyu Force EP. *Starts wondering what "Sailor Moon's Superboo" will do with this 2nd project* .. Although the artwork (which features Sailor Jupiter) has been released, there is no official date set for the single or even  a name. It was confirmed last week that a song titled "Lady Luck" would be the lead single but Mouse Sucks apparently has something else in mind  :/  *Kanye shrug*
